Builds are designed for x86, x86_64, Power64, ARM64 (AArch64) architectures, and <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/arm.fedoraproject.org\/\">various devices<\/a><\/noindex> with 32-bit ARM processors. <\/p>\n<p>The most notable <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/fedoraproject.org\/wiki\/Releases\/31\/ChangeSet\">improvements<\/a><\/noindex> in Fedora 31: <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> The GNOME desktop has been updated to the release <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51470\">3.34<\/a><\/noindex> with support for grouping application icons into folders and a new wallpaper selection panel;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50986\">Completed<\/a><\/noindex> work has been done to remove GNOME Shell's dependencies related to X11, allowing GNOME to run in a Wayland-based environment without launching XWayland.<br \/>\nAn experimental feature has been implemented <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=50740\">of<\/a><\/noindex> to automatically start XWayland when trying to run X11-based applications in a Wayland-based graphical environment (enabled via the autostart-xwayland flag in gsettings org.gnome.mutter experimental-features). It provides a unified centralized interface for managing desktop settings, applications, and network connections. The most notable improvement is the ability to use Active Directory for deploying profiles without using FreeIPA;\n<li class=\"l\"> The built-in translator has gained support for Basque and Galician languages. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=34786\">Sysprof<\/a><\/noindex>, a performance profiling tool for Linux systems that allows for detailed analysis of the performance of all system components as a whole, including the kernel and user environment applications;\n<p><center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.gnome.org\/uraeus\/files\/2019\/09\/sysprof.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Release of the Fedora 31 Linux distribution\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/10\/a7894616cca6490844baeb101f4d7f03.jpeg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> The OpenH264 library, implementing the H.264 codec used in Firefox and GStreamer, has added support for decoding High and Advanced profiles, which are used for delivering video in online services (previously only Baseline and Main profiles were supported in OpenH264);\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> The formation of builds, kernel images for the i686 architecture, and key repositories has been discontinued.
