Recently, the release of TrafficToll 1.0.0 took place — a rather useful console program that allows limiting bandwidth (shaping) or completely blocking network traffic for selected applications in Linux. The program enables you to restrict both incoming and outgoing speeds for each interface as well as for each process individually (even while it's running).<\/p>\n

The closest alternative to TrafficToll is the well-known proprietary program NetLimiter for Windows.<\/p>\n

Installation:<\/p>\n

$ pip install traffictoll
\ntt must be run as root.
