Since the release of version <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=51707\">4.19<\/a><\/noindex> 37 bug reports were closed and 341 changes were made. <\/p>\n<p>The most significant changes:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> A new release of the Mono engine 4.9.4 was utilized with updated support. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/fna-xna.github.io\/\">FNA<\/a><\/noindex> (a project to create an alternative implementation of Microsoft XNA Game Studio 4.0 to simplify the porting of Windows games);\n<li class=\"l\"> Code state preservation in VBScript and JScript (script persistence) has been ensured;\n<li class=\"l\"> The Vulkan graphics API implementation has been aligned with the new Vulkan specification 1.1.126;\n<li class=\"l\"> Improved support for LLVM MinGW;\n<li class=\"l\"> Closed error reports related to the operation of games and applications LEGO Island, The Odyssey: Winds Of Athena, SimGolf v1.03, Password Safe, TSDoctor 1.0.58, Resident Evil 3, wPrime 2.x, Age of Wonders III, Lethe \u2014 Episode One, A Story About My Uncle, HotS, IVMU Social Network Client, TopoEdit, Notepad, Epic Games Launcher.\n<\/ul>\n<p>Also <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.winehq.org\/pipermail\/wine-devel\/2019-November\/154791.html\">the<\/a><\/noindex> project release <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wine-staging\/wine-staging\/\">Wine Staging 4.20<\/a><\/noindex>, which develops extended builds of Wine, including incomplete or risky patches that are not yet suitable for inclusion in the main Wine branch. Compared to Wine, Wine Staging includes 832 additional patches. <\/p>\n<p>The new release of Wine Staging has synchronized with the Wine 4.20 codebase. Eight patches affecting dsdmo, winebus.inf, winebus.sys, wineboo, ntoskrnl.exe, wine.inf, and ole32 have been transferred to the main Wine. A patch implementing the Direct3DShaderValidatorCreate9() function, necessary for launching the demo version of The Sims 2, has been added. The patches have been updated.  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wine-staging\/wine-staging\/tree\/master\/patches\/winebuild-Fake_Dlls\">winebuild-Fake_Dlls<\/a><\/noindex>, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wine-staging\/wine-staging\/tree\/master\/patches\/ntdll-NtContinue\">ntdll-NtContinue<\/a><\/noindex> and <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/wine-staging\/wine-staging\/tree\/master\/patches\/ntdll-MemoryWorkingSetExInformation\">ntdll-MemoryWorkingSetExInformation<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, it can be noted <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/npc_josh\/status\/1195208400570859520\">work.<\/a><\/noindex> by <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.gamingonlinux.com\/articles\/d9vk-developer-is-working-on-allowing-dxvk-to-help-linux-ports-for-direct3d-to-vulkan.15419\">addition.<\/a><\/noindex> in DXVK, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/Joshua-Ashton\/dxvk\/commit\/c3279db3131111b202f101a6cf160e0303df45ff\">capabilities<\/a><\/noindex> direct use of Direct3D 11 in Linux, without reliance on Wine. Until now, the DXVK layer implementing DXGI (DirectX Graphics Infrastructure), Direct3D 10, and Direct3D 11 through the Vulkan API was built as a DLL library and could only be used with Wine to run Windows games. The proposed changes allow DXVK to be built as a shared library for Linux, which can link with regular Linux applications for using the Direct3D 11 API.
