Microsoft is discussing with its own and third-party studios the creation of exclusive games for the cloud service Project xCloud. Company representative Kareem Choudhry confirmed this information at the X019 conference in London during an interview with Australian agencies, emphasizing: \u201cWhile we are not ready to share information about specific projects. But developing a new game and intellectual property takes one and a half to two years.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mr. Choudhry noted that the focus is primarily on those games that do not require developers' efforts to migrate to the cloud, and added: \u201cSo right now we have a platform that can run any of the 3000 games available on Xbox today.\u201d<\/p>\n

Additionally, certain APIs have been added to Xbox developer tools that allow a game to determine whether it is running in stream mode or not. Choudhry also mentioned that Project xCloud will ultimately transition to the next-generation gaming console platform, Project Scarlett: \u201cWe designed Scarlett with the cloud in mind, and as our console product family evolves into a new generation, the cloud will evolve as well.\u201d In this regard, it\u2019s interesting whether the Xbox One X generation will be skipped?
