About a year and a half after the branch 2.0 was formed introduced<\/a><\/noindex> the release of the distribution Devuan 2.1 \"ASCII\"<\/a><\/noindex>, the fork<\/a><\/noindex> Debian GNU\/Linux, provided without the system manager systemd. The release continues to use the package base Debian 9 \"Stretch\"<\/a><\/noindex>. . The ability to use OpenRC as an alternative to SysVinit was available previously but required manipulation in expert installation mode. Only in expert mode will options such as changing the bootloader (installing lilo instead of grub) and excluding non-free firmware continue to be provided. The default repository is set to deb.devuan.org, which randomly redirects to one of 12 mirrors (country-related OpenRC<\/a><\/noindex>mirrors need to be set separately). Instead of systemd-udev, eudev<\/a><\/noindex>, a fork of udev from the Gentoo project, is used.
