Regarding the searches in the nginx office and the arrest of Igor Sysoev, detailed analysis has already been done. It's about the same thing, but from a different perspective\u2026<\/a><\/noindex>...I am saying the same thing, but from a different perspective.<\/i><\/p>\n

This is absolute lawlessness or simply sheer disgrace. Either the boundaries are confused, or we're being shown who is in charge here. Incompetents are exploiting others' talents for pennies \u2014 we\u2019ve long gotten used to that. Talent doesn't need much, just the freedom to create, and a little something to eat. <\/p>\n

But now even that is not enough for them! They want meat, with blood! After all, we are lucky; in our country, there are many talents, and you can't cut them all down \u2014 new ones will emerge, if not today, then tomorrow. Consider it an inexhaustible resource. <\/p>\n

Not thanks to, but in spite of! <\/p>\n

Nginx has revolutionized web server management; Igor Sysoev is not just a talent, he is a hero of our time. Remember this name.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

And who are these incompetents \u2014 Rambler or those who initiated the criminal case, searches, arrests, and so on? It doesn't matter who exactly is incompetent and who simply does their job; the essence is what's important. What a shameful and disgraceful use of state resources.<\/i> Every cricket should know their own stick!<\/p>\n

I admit that it may not be all that obvious and much is still unknown to us, but how can one be stirred up over 'illegal use of copyright objects' \u2014 was there a court that established ownership? It turns out, one can do this, even without starting an investigation in a purely civil case, simply come to the office, block the company's operations, and out of nowhere, based on a competitor's whim, initiate a criminal case, arrest or detain.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The author and turn everything upside down. Did I imagine it, or did the President promise to put a stop to such raiding and lawlessness?<\/b> I'm not signing up for this; I'm not satisfied. I confess, it has made me angry, even my blood is boiling. It doesn't hurt \u2014 it only insults! But why\u2026<\/p>\n

No.<\/b> After all, we are bearers of unique competence, and our programs are the result of intellectual activity<\/i>, seemingly protected by copyright<\/i>, yet easily copied, so let everyone use it as long as it is beneficial, and the more the better. We won't lose out, and it could help someone. <\/p>\n

And what have we come to? Such a broad-mindedness is not so much naive as a sign of foolishness?<\/i><\/p>\n

It seems that the untalented think so. It is time for us to draw conclusions, fellow programmers and other creators of the Russian IT industry. <\/p>\n

In the end, I will dream a little, perhaps just as naively:<\/p>\n

  1. Rambler conducted an internal investigation, as a result of which it publicly apologized for this terrible mistake to Igor and others affected by this injustice. As a gesture of reconciliation, it voluntarily paid the authors the amount specified in the claim for damages (51 million). As a result, the company's reputation began to restore, and new products gained wide popularity.<\/li>\n
  2. The internal security agencies of the Russian law enforcement initiated a thorough impartial investigation regarding the legality of initiating a criminal case, conducting searches and arrests without sufficient grounds, a court decision, and other examinations.<\/li>\n
  3. The government authorities, represented by the State Duma, created a committee to develop a bill to protect the rights of software developers and other authors creating innovative solutions in the field of intellectual property, developed and submitted for consideration a bill with necessary amendments to copyright laws. The law was passed in three readings, soon signed by the President, and the IT community joyfully supported the initiative of the lawmakers.<\/li>\n
  4. In Russia, the attractiveness for investment began to grow, and many talented developers, engineers, and inventors returned home and got to work!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
