Earlier this year, LCG Entertainment revived the Telltale Games brand. And now, with the studio's first project, AdHoc \u2014 The Wolf Among Us 2 \u2014 having been introduced<\/a><\/noindex>, we are starting to learn more about the revival of the famous developers.<\/p>\n

\"LCG<\/p>\n

While speaking with IGN, LCG Entertainment CEO Jaimie Ottilie clarified the difference between the old and new Telltale. According to him, the company acquired the brand and several franchises that were previously owned by the studio. However, LCG Entertainment is a completely different business from the former Telltale Games staff, including The Wolf Among Us directors Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart, writer Pierre Shorette, and former VP of Engineering Zac Litton.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe were upset by people who assumed, without giving us a chance, that this was an opportunistic or simple way to profit from a game catalog,\u201d Ottilie said. \u201cWe all came together with the intention of supporting the company and continuing the legacy of storytelling that people want to play. However, much of this was to be expected, and really, all we can do is keep our heads down and focus on creating great content that befits the Telltale name.\u201d<\/p>\n

The old Telltale Games closed<\/a><\/noindex> in September of last year. This led to mass layoffs affecting around 270 people. Many employees talked<\/a><\/noindex> about overtime and risky management decisions, particularly hopes for a single investor.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are taking a measured and methodical approach to growth to ensure that we can provide a stable working environment. We are embedding this into our culture from the start,\u201d Ottilie assured. \u201cAll we can do is be open; we cannot control whether critics hear us or believe us. The truth is that we are a new company \u2014 with different ownership and management, and a different approach to how we structure the studio in today\u2019s market.\u201d<\/p>\n

It is still unknown when The Wolf Among Us 2 will be released.<\/p>\n
