One of the ways to change your appearance is by dyeing your hair. However, you may find it difficult to visualize the final result of hair dyeing in advance. Soon, choosing a shade will become easier. A pilot project organized by the Google Lens platform in collaboration with L'Or\u00e9al offers a quick way to virtually 'dye' your hair.<\/p>\n

Currently, the pilot project is being implemented in Walmart stores. Shoppers of Garnier Nutrisse and Olia hair dye can find out in-store if their chosen shade is suitable. All they need to do is use the Google Lens app, pointing it at the box of dye. The app will automatically recognize the shade you've selected, after which a corresponding page will load where you can 'try on' the hair color.<\/p>\n

It's worth noting that this is the first instance where Google Lens offers new features in partnership with a beauty industry representative. In the past, the platform collaborated with the restaurant sector, was used for translations, and participated in several other experiments. However, the use of virtual content in the beauty industry is becoming increasingly widespread. For example, this year, YouTube users gained the ability to<\/a><\/noindex> to 'try on' the makeup displayed in popular beauty blogs. The AR Beauty Try-On tool has been tested by users for several months, helping them to select the optimal makeup.<\/p>\n

As for the new Google Lens feature, it is currently available to shoppers in 500 Walmart stores across the United States. The virtual try-on was developed in collaboration with the cosmetics company Modiface, which was acquired by L'Or\u00e9al last year.<\/p>\n
