The system is being developed by several German universities, written in C++, Qt, and Python, and <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/emsec\/hal\/\">is provided<\/a><\/noindex> is licensed under the MIT License.<\/p>\n<p>HAL allows for viewing and analyzing schematics in a GUI and manipulating them using scripts written in Python. The scripts can make use of the included 'standard library' of functions that implement graph theory operations useful for reverse engineering digital electronic circuits (these functions can heuristically detect certain design patterns and remove simple obfuscations with just a few lines of script). The library also includes classes for project management in the IDE, which can be utilized when developing plugins for analyzing and inspecting connections.
