Available<\/a><\/noindex> desktop-oriented distribution release GhostBSD 20.02<\/a><\/noindex>, built on the platform TrueOS<\/a><\/noindex> and offering MATE desktop environment. By default, GhostBSD uses the OpenRC initialization system and ZFS file system. It supports both Live mode operation and installation on a hard drive (using its own installer ginstall, written in Python). Boot images are created<\/a><\/noindex> for x86_64 architecture (2.2 GB).<\/p>\n

The new version includes an interface in the installer for editing ZFS partitions and allows GhostBSD to be installed on a ZFS partition located on a disk that already contains partitions with Windows, Linux, or macOS. The system components are synchronized with the TrueOS package repository (1201512). The Software Station's additional applications installer has been improved. The Update Station has implemented a mode for forcibly updating all packages during the system environment update. The default set of installed programs now includes the Telegram messenger and the power consumption management system powerd.<\/p>\n
