The ultimate goal is to create a safe space for developers and project supporters, where they can share information about ongoing work, showcase results, interact with colleagues, and share knowledge. <\/p>\n<p>Currently, the following services are in beta mode:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/pleroma.debian.social\/\">pleroma.debian.social<\/a><\/noindex> (powered by <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/pleroma.social\/\">Pleroma<\/a><\/noindex>) \u2014 a decentralized platform for microblogging, similar to Mastodon, Gnu Social, and Statusnet;\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/pixelfed.debian.social\/\">pixelfed.debian.social<\/a><\/noindex> (powered by <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/pixelfed.social\/\">Pixelfed<\/a><\/noindex>) \u2014 a photo-sharing service that can be used for posting photo reports;\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/peertube.debian.social\/\">peertube.debian.social<\/a><\/noindex> (powered by <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/joinpeertube.org\/\">PeerTube<\/a><\/noindex>) \u2014 a decentralized platform for video hosting and broadcasting, which can be used for publishing video tutorials, interviews, podcasts, and recordings of conference talks and developer meetups. For example, all videos from the Debconf conferences will be uploaded to Peertube;\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/jitsi.debian.social\/\">jitsi.debian.social<\/a><\/noindex> (powered by <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/jitsi.org\/jitsi-meet\/\">Jitsi<\/a><\/noindex>) \u2014 a system for conducting video conferences via the Web;\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.debian.social\/\">wordpress.debian.social<\/a><\/noindex> (powered by <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wordpress.org\/\">WordPress<\/a><\/noindex>) \u2014 a platform for developers' blogging;\n<li class=\"l\"> <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/writefreely.debian.social\/\">writefreely<\/a><\/noindex> (powered by <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/writefreely.org\/\">WriteFreely<\/a><\/noindex>) \u2014 a decentralized system for blogging and note-taking. Experiments are also underway for deploying a decentralized blogging system based on the platform. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/joinplu.me\/\">Plume<\/a><\/noindex>;\n<li class=\"l\"> In the distant future, there is also the possibility of creating a messaging service based on <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/mattermost.com\/\">Mattermost<\/a><\/noindex>, a communication platform based on<br \/>\n<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/matrix.org\/\">Matrix<\/a><\/noindex> and a service for sharing audio files based on <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/funkwhale.audio\/\">Funkwhale<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Most services are decentralized and support integration into a federated network for interaction with other servers. For instance, using an account on Pleroma allows you to track new videos on Peertube or images on Pixelfed, as well as leave comments in decentralized networks<br \/>\nFediverse <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/fediverse.party\/\">and interact with other services that support the ActivityPub protocol. To create an account in these services, you are advised to<\/a><\/noindex> submit a request <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/salsa.debian.org\/debiansocial-team\/sysadmin\/accounts\/issues\/new\">submit a request<\/a><\/noindex> on salsa.debian.org (an account on salsa.debian.org is required).
