A test version of the distribution is available UbuntuDDE<\/a><\/noindex>, based on the codebase of the upcoming release Ubuntu 20.04 LTS<\/a><\/noindex>. The distribution comes with the DDE (Deepin Desktop Environment), which is the main shell of the Deepin distribution, and is also offered optionally in Manjaro. Unlike Deepin Linux, UbuntuDDE replaces the Deepin application store with the Ubuntu Software Center (Snap Store, based on Gnome Software Center). The project is currently an unofficial edition of Ubuntu, but the developers are in talks with Canonical about including UbuntuDDE in the official distributions of Ubuntu. It is important to note that the components of the Deepin desktop are developed using C\/C++ (Qt5) and Go programming languages. A key feature is the panel that supports multiple working modes. In classic mode, there is a clearer separation of open windows and applications available to launch, displaying the system tray area. The efficient mode is somewhat reminiscent of Unity, blending indicators of running programs, favorite applications, and control applets (volume\/brightness settings, connected drives, clock, network status, etc.). The program launch interface is displayed in full screen and offers two modes \u2014 viewing favorite applications and navigating through the catalog of installed programs.
