AGL-based solutions are used in the information systems of Toyota, Lexus, Subaru Outback, Subaru Legacy, and light commercial vehicles from Mercedes-Benz Vans.<\/p>\n<p>The distribution is based on the developments of the projects  <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.tizen.org\">Tizen<\/a><\/noindex>, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.genivi.org\/\">GENIVI<\/a><\/noindex> and <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"http:\/\/www.yoctoproject.org\/\">Yocto<\/a><\/noindex>. The graphical environment is based on Qt, Wayland, and the developments of the Weston IVI Shell project. Demonstration builds of the platform <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.automotivelinux.org\/agl-distro\/release-notes\">are created<\/a><\/noindex> for QEMU, Renesas M3 boards, Intel Up\u00b2, Raspberry Pi 3 and Raspberry Pi 4. With the participation of the community <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.automotivelinux.org\/agl-distro#supported_hardware\">boot images are being developed based on<\/a><\/noindex> builds for NXP i.MX6 boards,<br \/>\nDragonBoard 410c, Intel Minnowboard Max (Atom E38xx), and TI Vayu.<\/p>\n<p> The source texts of the project's developments are available through<br \/>\n<noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/git.automotivelinux.org\/gerrit\/#\/admin\/projects\/\">Git<\/a><\/noindex>. Companies such as Toyota, Ford, Nissan, Honda, Jaguar Land Rover, Mazda, Mitsubishi, and Subaru are involved in the project development.\n<\/p>\n<p>AGL UCB can be used by automakers as a framework for creating end solutions, after necessary adaptations for hardware and customization of the interface. The platform allows developers to focus on application development and their own methods of organizing user operations, without worrying about low-level infrastructure and minimizing maintenance costs. The project is fully open \u2014 all components are available under free licenses. <\/p>\n<p>A set of working prototypes of typical applications is provided, created using HTML5 and Qt technologies. For example, <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.automotivelinux.org\/agl-distro\/als-2016-demo\">we have<\/a><\/noindex> implementation of a home screen, web browser, instrument panel, navigation system (using Google Maps), climate control, multimedia player with DLNA support, sound system configuration interface, news reading application. Components for voice control, information searching, smartphone interaction via Bluetooth, and connection to the CAN network for access to sensors and data transmission between vehicle nodes are offered. <\/p>\n<p><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/wiki.automotivelinux.org\/agl-distro\/release-notes\">Features<\/a><\/noindex> new version:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Support for delivering OTA updates (Over-the-Air) for environments based on the technology <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=37750\">OSTree<\/a><\/noindex>, allowing the system to be manipulated as a whole with the ability to update individual files and versioning of the overall system state;\n<li class=\"l\"> The Application Framework implements token-based authentication;\n<li class=\"l\"> The API for speech recognition has been expanded, enhancing integration with voice agents. Added support for Alexa Auto SDK 2.0. A new open version of the user interface for managing speech recognition has been proposed;\n<li class=\"l\"> The sound subsystem has improved support for the multimedia server <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/www.opennet.ru\/opennews\/art.shtml?num=52406\">PipeWire<\/a><\/noindex> and session manager <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/gitlab.freedesktop.org\/gkiagia\/wireplumber\">WirePlumber<\/a><\/noindex>;\n<li class=\"l\"> Enhanced support for network capabilities and settings. The API for Bluetooth has been redesigned, and support for Bluetooth profiles pbap and map has been expanded;\n<li class=\"l\"> Token-based access support has been added to HTML5 applications;\n<li class=\"l\"> Performance of HTML5 applications has been significantly improved;\n<li class=\"l\"> A new image with only HTML5 applications has been proposed, utilizing the Web App Manager (WAM) and Chromium;\n<li class=\"l\"> Demo HTML applications have been added for the home screen, application launcher, dashboard, configurator, multimedia player, mixer, HVAC, and Chromium browser;\n<li class=\"l\"> Reference implementations of applications written using QML have been expanded: An updated dashboard implementation supporting CAN message processing from the steering wheel and multimedia buttons. Allows the use of steering wheel buttons to control the car information system;\n<li class=\"l\"> A preliminary implementation of the new window manager and home screen is proposed (enabled when
