Introduced<\/a><\/noindex> release of a Linux distribution BackBox Linux 7<\/a><\/noindex>, based on Ubuntu 20.04 and supplied with a collection of tools for system security testing, exploit testing, reverse engineering, network traffic analysis, and wireless networking, malware analysis, stress testing, and uncovering hidden or lost data. The user environment is based on Xfce. Size ISO image<\/a><\/noindex> 2.5 GB (x86_64). <\/p>\n

The new version includes an update of system components from Ubuntu 18.04 to the 20.04 branch. Builds for the i386 architecture have been discontinued. The Linux kernel has been updated to version 5.4. Tool versions included for security testing and desktop environment components have been updated. The ISO image is built in a hybrid format and adapted for booting on UEFI systems.
