Took place<\/a><\/noindex> release of a minimalist cross-platform web browser NetSurf 3.10<\/a><\/noindex>, capable of running on systems with several dozen megabytes of RAM. The release is prepared for Linux, Windows, Haiku, AmigaOS, RISC OS, and various Unix-like systems. The browser code is written in C and distributed under the GPLv2 license. <\/p>\n

The browser supports tabs, bookmarks, page thumbnails, URL autocompletion in the address bar, page zooming, HTTPS, SVG, a cookie management interface, a mode for saving pages with images, and standards including HTML 4.01, CSS 2.1, and partially HTML5. It provides limited support for JavaScript, which is disabled by default. Pages are rendered using a custom browser engine built on libraries Hubbub<\/a><\/noindex>, LibCSS<\/a><\/noindex> and LibDOM<\/a><\/noindex>. JavaScript is processed using the Duktape<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n

In the new version, the interface has been significantly redesigned based on the GTK library. Work has been done to increase performance. Improvements have been made related to authentication handling, certificates, and standardization of error messages.<\/p>\n
