A new release of the distribution has been published Rescuezilla 1.0.6<\/a><\/noindex>, designed for backup, system recovery after failures, and diagnosing various hardware issues. The distribution is built on the Ubuntu package base and continues the development of the «Redo Backup & Rescue» project, which was discontinued in 2012. Rescuezilla supports backing up and restoring accidentally deleted files on Linux, macOS, and Windows partitions. It automatically searches for and connects to network partitions that can be used for storing backups. The graphical interface is based on the LXDE shell. For download for installation in WSL<\/a><\/noindex> live builds for 32- and 64-bit x86 systems (670MB). <\/p>\n

The new version includes a separate build for 64-bit systems, which has been updated to Ubuntu 20.04 (32-bit builds remain on Ubuntu 18.04).
