The system is designed to address tasks such as ensuring the operation of technical support services (help desk), managing responses to customer inquiries (phone calls, email), coordinating the provision of corporate IT services, and managing requests in sales and financial departments. The OTOBO code is written in Perl and <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/RotherOSS\/otobo\">is distributed<\/a><\/noindex> under the GPLv3 license.<\/p>\n<p>Stefan Rother, currently the founder and managing director of Rother OSS, joined OTRS GmbH (now OTRS AG) in 2004. In 2011, he founded his own company Rother OSS. By 2019, Rother OSS focused on providing business services related to open-source OTRS variants. In response to the changed release strategy of OTRS AG and delays in launching new versions of the OTRS Community Edition, Rother OSS began developing the ticketing system OTOBO (Open Ticket Ours Based OTRS) based on OTRS version 6. The business concept of OTOBO is to support business users through consultation and training. Developments commissioned by clients that are beneficial for a wider user base are planned to be returned to its source code. <\/p>\n<p>Key Changes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> The built-in translator has gained support for Basque and Galician languages. <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/otobo.de\/en\/otobo-features\/kundenportal\/\">client portal<\/a><\/noindex>;\n<p><center><noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/otobo.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/Mockup-Dashboard-V1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Release of the OTOBO ticketing system, a fork of OTRS\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/60e04add12b9c2b13d9f1be2339289c2.jpeg\" style=\"display:block;margin: 0 auto;\" \/><\/a><\/noindex><\/center><\/p>\n<li class=\"l\"> Forms have been optimized, and support for multi-column input forms has been added;\n<li class=\"l\"> Fast search based on Elasticsearch has been implemented;\n<li class=\"l\"> Support for two-factor authentication, protection against password guessing, and advanced tools for assigning password policy have been added;\n<li class=\"l\"> Ensured <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/github.com\/RotherOSS\/otobo-docker\">integration<\/a><\/noindex> with Docker.\n<\/ul>\n<p>A migration tool has also been developed, allowing migration from OTRS CE 6 to OTOBO. For installation <noindex><a rel=\"nofollow\" href=\"https:\/\/otobo.de\/en\/otobo-download\/\">is available<\/a><\/noindex> both as an installation package and Docker images. Hosting services are also offered.
