High speed is achieved through intensive parallelization of checks. In conducted tests, the time to scan 65,000 ports was only 8 seconds with 10,000 concurrent checks. RustScan is limited to port scanning functionality and does not support features such as application detection or running NSE scripts to automate various additional actions with identified open ports. To access advanced features, it supports automatic nmap execution for identified open ports \u2014 unlike fast scanners like MassScan<\/a><\/noindex>, RustScan positions itself as a sort of accelerator for nmap. For example, in a configuration where nmap took 17 minutes to scan, RustScan completed the scan in 8 seconds, and the total execution time including the nmap call for the found ports was 19 seconds.<\/p>\n
