The asset volume for the reporting period amounted to $3.5 million, which is $300,000 less than for the 2019 financial year. The size of equity decreased by $281,000 over the year, totaling $2.16 million. Most of the funds were received from sponsors \u2014 currently, there are 10 platinum sponsors, 9 gold, 11 silver, and 25 bronze sponsors, as well as 24 project-specific sponsors and 500 individual sponsors.<\/p>\n<p>Some statistics:\n<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> The total cost of developing all Apache projects from scratch is estimated at $20 billion using the COCOMO 2 cost estimation model. Over the year, approximately 8 million lines of code were added to Apache projects, with an estimated development cost of around $600 million;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> The codebase for all Apache projects contains over 227 million lines (last year it was 190 million). The 2045 git repositories of the project (up from 1800 a year ago) include about 250 GB of code considering the history of changes (last year it was 75 GB);\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Development is overseen by more than 7700 committers (up from 7000+ last year);\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Under the auspices of the Apache Foundation, 339 projects and sub-projects are being developed, of which 206 are primary and 45 are undergoing incubation. Over the year, 9 projects were promoted from the incubator;\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> More than 2 PB of archive downloads with code have been recorded from mirrors. The website apache.org processes about 35 million views per week;\n<li class=\"l\"> The five most active and visited projects: Kafka, Hadoop, Lucene, POI, ZooKeeper (last year: Hadoop, Kafka, Lucene, POI, ZooKeeper);\n<li class=\"l\"> The five most active repositories by number of commits: Camel, Flink, Beam, HBase, Lucene Solr (last year: Camel, Hadoop, HBase, Beam, Flink);\n<li class=\"l\"> The five largest repositories by number of lines of code: NetBeans, OpenOffice, Flex, Mynewt, Trafodion (the ranking has not changed since last year);\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Apache projects cover areas such as machine learning, big data processing, build management, cloud systems, content management, DevOps, IoT, mobile application development, server systems, and web frameworks;\n<li class=\"l\"> 2892 committers (last year: 3280) changed 60 million lines of code (last year: 71 million) and made over 184,000 commits (last year: 222,000).\n<li class=\"l\"> 12,413 people created 63,172 new issues; 2,868 people closed 54,633 issues.\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"l\"> Supported by 1417 mailing lists, in which 19,396 authors sent over 2 million emails and created 907 thousand topics.
