Wargaming has announced an amnesty for previously banned players of World of Tanks in honor of the tenth anniversary of the online action game. To celebrate the occasion, the developer wants to give users a second chance in hopes of reform.<\/p>\n

Starting August 3, Wargaming will begin a large-scale unblocking of user accounts that were banned up to March 25, 2020, at 2:59 AM MSK. However, not everyone will be forgiven: players who received bans for legal violations, fraud, spam, bot use, and use of prohibited modifications should not expect leniency.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe hope that the errant players will learn the right lessons from the past and will no longer interfere with honest commanders after being unlocked,\u201d said Anton Pankov, Product Director of World of Tanks. \u201cHowever, if they are caught committing repeated violations, they will again face a permanent ban, with no chance of lifting it in the future.\u201d<\/p>\n

So, users banned for participating in match-fixing, account selling, destroying allies, creating violating game rules<\/a><\/noindex> nicknames, flooding, advertising, insults in chat, and some other violations of the license agreement<\/a><\/noindex>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe principle of fair play has been and remains one of our top priorities,\u201d said Anton Pankov. \u201cTogether with you, we have invested a vast amount of time and effort to create equal conditions for everyone and ensure the spirit of fair competition. We do not want to jeopardize the results of the work done, which is why the use of prohibited mods was not included in the list of violations eligible for unblocking. Our position on this is unchanged: their use is unsporting and unfair. Therefore, players caught using such modifications will remain banned.\u201d<\/p>\n
