Introduced<\/a><\/noindex> release of a Linux distribution Zorin OS 15.3<\/a><\/noindex>, based on the Ubuntu package base 18.04.5<\/a><\/noindex>. The target audience for this distribution is beginner users accustomed to working in Windows. To manage the appearance, the distribution offers a special configurator that allows you to make the desktop resemble various versions of Windows, and it includes a selection of applications similar to those familiar to Windows users. The size of the bootable ISO image<\/a><\/noindex> is 2.4 GB (two versions are available \u2014 the standard based on GNOME and the 'Lite' version with Xfce). Notably, Zorin OS 15 has been downloaded over 1.7 million times since June 2019, with 65% of downloads coming from users of Windows and macOS.<\/p>\n

The new version has transitioned to the Linux 5.4 kernel, supporting new hardware. User application versions have been updated, including the addition of LibreOffice 6.3.6. A new release of the mobile application Zorin Connect (based on KDE Connect) is included for linking the desktop with mobile phones, featuring support for new Android platform releases, with automatic device discovery limited to trusted wireless networks, alongside buttons added to notifications for file and clipboard sharing.<\/p>\n
