The platform was originally developed by Facebook as part of of the<\/a><\/noindex> ensuring global network accessibility, but was later transformed into a separate project under the auspices of the independent non-profit organization OpenStack Foundation. The code is written in C, C++, Go, and Python, and is distributed<\/a><\/noindex> under the BSD license.<\/p>\n

The platform offers a new approach for telecom operators, based on the use of open-source software, enabling the creation of new types of networks that implement fast update cycles and continuous integration of software components.
