The release of SystemRescue 8.0.0 is now available, a specialized Live distribution based on Arch Linux, designed for system recovery after a failure. The graphical environment used is Xfce. The size of the ISO image is 708 MB (amd64, i686). <\/p>\n

Notable functional changes in the new version include an update to the Xfce desktop to version 4.16, the inclusion of Linux kernel 5.10, and the addition of the paperkey package for printing private keys. The exfat-utils package has been replaced by a new set of exfatprogs utilities, created after the acceptance of the exFAT driver into the Linux kernel. Updated versions of parted 3.4, gparted 1.2.0, btrfs-progs 5.10.1, xfsprogs 5.10.0, e2fsprogs 1.46.2, nwipe 0.30, dislocker 0.7.3, fsarchiver 0.8.6, and Python 3.9.2.
