Last night (around midnight European time), a fire broke out at OVH's data center in Strasbourg, destroying most of the equipment (of the four OVH data centers in Strasbourg, the SBG2 data center was completely burned down, 4 out of 12 rooms in the SBG1 data center were destroyed, and the SBG3 and SBG4 data centers were de-energized). Fire and rescue services cut power to all buildings, and the fire was finally extinguished by morning. Fortunately, no one was injured. The prefecture and police established a security perimeter around the buildings, and employee access is also prohibited. This incident has already affected many OVH clients, as it turned out that many backups were stored in the same data center.
