Already, 22,000 licenses for the distribution have been purchased\u20145,000 licenses will be used for the migration of employees' automated workplaces, while the rest will be used to build a virtual workplace infrastructure. The migration to Astra Linux will begin this month. The implementation of Astra Linux into the RZD infrastructure will be handled by JSC \"Grinatom,\" an IT integrator of the state corporation \"Rosatom,\" which was previously involved in developing IT services for RZD.    <\/p>\n<p>It is worth noting that the Astra Linux project is developed by the Russian company \"RusBITech-Astra.\" The distribution is based on the Debian GNU\/Linux package base and comes with its proprietary desktop, Fly (interactive demonstration), featuring components that use the Qt library. A free version, Astra Linux Common Edition, is offered for non-commercial use.
