The eighth edition of the starter kits is ready on the Ninth Alt platform. These images are suitable for experienced users who prefer to determine their own list of applications and configure the system (up to creating their own derivatives) while starting to work with a stable repository. As composite works, they are distributed under the GPLv2+ license. Options include a basic system and one of the desktop environments or a set of specialized applications. <\/p>\n
The builds are prepared for the i586, x86_64, aarch64, and armh architectures. Additionally, builds for the mipsel architecture are available for the Tavolga and BFK3 systems on the \"Baikal-T1\" processor. Owners of the \"Elbrus\" VK based on 4C and 8C\/1C+ processors have access to several starter kits. Engineering variants have also been assembled for p9 \u2014 Live with engineering software and cnc-rt \u2014 Live with a real-time kernel and LinuxCNC software for x86_64. <\/p>\n

Live with session persistence works on booting via UEFI (x86_64, aarch64);\n
The kde5 starter kit has reduced in size from 2 to 1.4 GB;\n
The default kernel set in rootfs is un-def;\n
Raspberry Pi: the audio issue on boot with un-def kernel has been fixed;\n
Raspberry Pi 4: rootfs with the un-def kernel loads successfully and operates stably, but hardware 3D acceleration does not work \u2014 use the build with the -rpi suffix featuring a special kernel for Raspberry Pi;\n
mcom02: the screen resolution has been changed from 1920\u00d71080 to 1366\u00d7768 (set in \/boot\/extlinux\/extlinux.conf). <\/ul>\n

The images are built using mkimage-profiles 1.4.7 with a large set of patches; the ISO includes the archive of the build profile (.disk\/profile.tgz) for the possibility of building your own derivatives (see also the builder option and the mkimage-profiles package within it). <\/p>\n
The builds for aarch64 and armh include rootfs archives and qemu images in addition to ISO images; installation instructions and instructions for running in qemu are available for them. <\/p>\n
