Los entusiastas han logrado cargar un entorno basado en el n\u00facleo de Linux 5.0 en la placa ESP32 con un procesador de doble n\u00facleo Tensilica Xtensa (placa esp32 devkit v1, sin MMU completo), equipada con 2 MB de Flash y 8 MB de memoria PSRAM, conectada a trav\u00e9s de la interfaz SPI. Se ha preparado una imagen de firmware de Linux para la ESP32. La carga lleva aproximadamente 6 minutos. <\/p>\n

El firmware ha sido creado a partir de la imagen de la m\u00e1quina virtual JuiceVm y el puerto del n\u00facleo de Linux 5.0. JuiceVm proporciona un envoltorio m\u00ednimo posible para sistemas RISC-V, capaz de arrancar en chips con varios cientos de kilobytes de RAM. JuiceVm permite el arranque de OpenSBI (Interfaz Binaria del Supervisor RISC-V), que act\u00faa como interfaz de enlace para cargar el n\u00facleo de Linux y un entorno de sistema m\u00ednimo a partir del firmware espec\u00edfico para la plataforma ESP32. Adem\u00e1s de Linux, JuiceVm tambi\u00e9n admite el arranque de FreeRTOS y RT-Thread.
