GitHub ha bloqueado las claves SSH de los usuarios de clientes Git que utilizan la biblioteca JavaScript keypair para generar claves. Por ejemplo, las claves del cliente Git GitKraken se han visto afectadas. La vulnerabilidad provoca la formaci\u00f3n de claves RSA predecibles debido a un error que reduce significativamente la calidad de la Entrop\u00eda durante la generaci\u00f3n de secuencias aleatorias para las claves. El problema se ha corregido en las versiones keypair 1.0.4 y GitKraken 8.0.1. <\/p>\n

La causa de la vulnerabilidad fue el uso del proceso de formaci\u00f3n de la clave de llamada «b.putByte(String.fromCharCode(next & 0xFF))», dado que en el m\u00e9todo putByte se volv\u00eda a invocar el m\u00e9todo fromCharCode. La doble invocaci\u00f3n de fromCharCode («String.fromCharCode( String.fromCharCode(next & 0xFF) )») conduc\u00eda a que gran parte del b\u00fafer con entrop\u00eda quedara llena de ceros, es decir, la clave se generaba a partir de datos «aleatorios» compuestos en un 97% por ceros.
