Se ha lanzado ncspot 0.9, un cliente de consola ligero para el servicio de m\u00fasica Spotify, escrito en el lenguaje de programaci\u00f3n Rust y respaldado por m\u00e1s de cincuenta desarrolladores. La interfaz admite temas y se ha desarrollado utilizando la biblioteca ncurses. Como servidor de sonido por defecto se usa PulseAudio (para usar un backend de sonido alternativo, se requiere indicar las flags de compilaci\u00f3n). El c\u00f3digo fuente se distribuye bajo la licencia BSD. Se admite la compilaci\u00f3n para Linux, Windows y macOS. <\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan el desarrollador, este cliente se distingue favorablemente de los clientes oficiales y alternativos por su mayor cobertura de sistemas operativos (en particular, se admiten sistemas *BSD), un consumo de recursos significativamente m\u00e1s bajo (el consumo de RAM es m\u00e1s de 20 veces menor, 46.2 MiB en lugar de 1000.0 MiB), as\u00ed como una mayor estabilidad de funcionamiento, garantizada gracias al uso del lenguaje Rust. <\/p>\n

En la nueva versi\u00f3n solo se destacan mejoras est\u00e9ticas y una serie de nuevas funciones disponibles a trav\u00e9s de la interfaz. En particular, se ha a\u00f1adido un comando para mostrar recomendaciones, se ha incorporado un bot\u00f3n \"Compartir \u00e1lbum\" en el men\u00fa, y se ha habilitado la posibilidad de asignar varios comandos a una sola tecla de acceso r\u00e1pido.
