Despu\u00e9s de m\u00e1s de un a\u00f1o de desarrollo, se lanz\u00f3 la versi\u00f3n actualizada del sistema operativo para tel\u00e9fonos m\u00f3viles NemoMobile 0.7, que utiliza contribuciones del proyecto Mer, pero se basa en el proyecto ManjaroArm. El tama\u00f1o de la imagen del sistema para Pine Phone es de 740 MB. Todas las aplicaciones y servicios est\u00e1n abiertos bajo las licencias GPL y BSD y est\u00e1n disponibles en GitHub. <\/p>\n

NemoMobile fue concebido originalmente como una alternativa abierta al proyecto Harmattan de Nokia y se desarroll\u00f3 en colaboraci\u00f3n con la comunidad y la empresa Jolla. Sin embargo, con el tiempo, Jolla se centr\u00f3 en el parcialmente cerrado SailfishOS, sin prestar suficiente atenci\u00f3n a la parte abierta del proyecto Mer \u2014 NemoMobile. La \u00faltima versi\u00f3n de NemoMobile se lanz\u00f3 en abril de 2013. <\/p>\n

En 2019, un equipo de entusiastas comenz\u00f3 a trasladar los componentes de NemoMobile de la base Mer a la base Manjaro. Tambi\u00e9n surgieron proyectos para portar NemoMobile a otros sistemas operativos como Fedora y OpenEmbedded. La raz\u00f3n principal para el cambio de la base Mer fueron los componentes obsoletos. En particular, Mer a\u00fan utiliza Qt versi\u00f3n 5.6 debido a restricciones de licencia. <\/p>\n

Actualmente, se ha realizado la transici\u00f3n de los componentes de NemoMobile a Qt 5.15 y otras versiones modernas de los paquetes. Se han agregado aplicaciones faltantes, como contactos, correo, navegador, configuraciones, clima, gestor de paquetes, agente polkit y plugin de autenticaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

Los principales problemas que quedan sin resolver son el env\u00edo de SMS (la recepci\u00f3n funciona) y las llamadas de voz. Actualmente, est\u00e1n disponibles im\u00e1genes para PinePhone y PineTab, as\u00ed como en desarrollo im\u00e1genes para Google Pixel 3a y Volla Phone.
