Se ha publicado el lanzamiento de la distribuci\u00f3n Slackel 7.5, basada en los desarrollos de los proyectos Slackware y Salix, y totalmente compatible con los repositorios que ofrecen. La caracter\u00edstica clave de Slackel es el uso de la rama continuamente actualizada de Slackware-Current. El entorno gr\u00e1fico se basa en el gestor de ventanas Openbox. El tama\u00f1o de la imagen de arranque, capaz de funcionar en modo Live, es de 2.4 GB (i386 y x86_64). La distribuci\u00f3n puede ser utilizada en sistemas con 512 MB de RAM. <\/p>\n

La nueva versi\u00f3n est\u00e1 sincronizada con la rama current de Slackware y se entrega con el n\u00facleo de Linux 5.15. Se han actualizado las versiones de programas, incluyendo firefox 95.0.2, thunderbird 91.4.1, libreoffice 7.2.0, filezilla 3.56.0, smplayer 21.10.0, gimp 2.10.30. Se ha implementado el panel fbpanel y un conjunto de aplicaciones gr\u00e1ficas auxiliares para configurar el sistema. Se ha logrado un soporte completo para la instalaci\u00f3n de la distribuci\u00f3n en dispositivos USB externos o unidades SSD para obtener un entorno de trabajo port\u00e1til. Se admite la posibilidad de actualizar el entorno instalado en dispositivos externos y cifrar los datos del usuario.
