El juego est\u00e1 escrito en C++ utilizando el motor 3D Irrlicht. Para crear extensiones, se utiliza el lenguaje Lua. El c\u00f3digo de Minetest se distribuye bajo la licencia LGPL, mientras que los recursos del juego est\u00e1n bajo la licencia CC BY-SA 3.0. Las versiones completas de Minetest se han creado para diversas distribuciones de Linux, Android, FreeBSD, Windows y macOS.    <\/p>\n<p>Entre las mejoras a\u00f1adidas:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha realizado la transici\u00f3n al uso de un fork propio del motor de juego Irrlicht, en el que se han solucionado muchos problemas relacionados con la entrada de texto, la funcionalidad en pantalla completa, el soporte para la plataforma macOS y la salida gr\u00e1fica.\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha utilizado el algoritmo Zstd para la compresi\u00f3n de mapas, lo que ha permitido aumentar la generaci\u00f3n de mapas en un 20-30%.\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha a\u00f1adido soporte para la API Dynamic Media en Formspec y Lua API, y se ha implementado un codificador para el formato PNG.\n<li
