Con el lanzamiento de la versi\u00f3n 0.2, el toolkit para crear interfaces gr\u00e1ficas SixtyFPS ha sido renombrado como Slint. La raz\u00f3n de este cambio de nombre fue la cr\u00edtica de los usuarios sobre el nombre SixtyFPS, que causaba confusi\u00f3n y ambig\u00fcedad al enviar solicitudes a los motores de b\u00fasqueda, adem\u00e1s de no reflejar el prop\u00f3sito del proyecto. El nuevo nombre fue elegido durante una discusi\u00f3n con la comunidad en GitHub, donde los usuarios propusieron nuevos nombres. <\/p>\n

Los autores de la biblioteca (Olivier Goffart y Simon Hausmann), antiguos desarrolladores de KDE, luego se unieron a la empresa Trolltech para trabajar en Qt, y ahora han fundado su propia empresa, que desarrolla Slint. Uno de los objetivos del proyecto es ofrecer la posibilidad de trabajar con un consumo m\u00ednimo de recursos de CPU y memoria (se requieren solo unos cientos de kilobytes de RAM). Hay dos backends disponibles para el renderizado: gl basado en OpenGL ES 2.0 y qt, que utiliza Qt QStyle. <\/p>\n

Se admite la creaci\u00f3n de interfaces en programas escritos en los lenguajes Rust, C++ y JavaScript. Los autores de la biblioteca han desarrollado un lenguaje de marcado especial llamado .slint, que se compila en c\u00f3digo nativo para la plataforma elegida. Existe la posibilidad de probar el lenguaje en un editor en l\u00ednea o de revisar ejemplos, compil\u00e1ndolos de manera independiente. El c\u00f3digo de la biblioteca est\u00e1 escrito en C++ y Rust, y se distribuye bajo la licencia GPLv3 o una licencia comercial que permite su uso en productos propietarios sin necesidad de abrir el c\u00f3digo.
