Se ha publicado la cuarta versi\u00f3n experimental del proyecto Brutal, en el que entusiastas desarrollan un sistema operativo de c\u00f3digo abierto, que intenta combinar los ideales de los sistemas Unix de los a\u00f1os 70 con tecnolog\u00edas modernas. El sistema se desarrolla desde cero y se proporciona con su propia biblioteca est\u00e1ndar en C y un microkernel. El c\u00f3digo del proyecto est\u00e1 escrito en C y se distribuye bajo la licencia MIT. Se admite la compilaci\u00f3n para arquitecturas x86_64, i686, RISC-V y ARM. <\/p>\n

En versiones de prueba anteriores, se centr\u00f3 principalmente en el desarrollo del microkernel y el entorno del sistema base.
