GNU Octave se puede usar para resolver problemas lineales, ecuaciones no lineales y diferenciales, c\u00e1lculos que utilizan n\u00fameros complejos y matrices, visualizaci\u00f3n de datos y realizaci\u00f3n de experimentos matem\u00e1ticos.     <\/p>\n<p>Entre los cambios en la nueva versi\u00f3n:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha continuado trabajando en la mejora de la compatibilidad con Matlab, ampliando las capacidades de muchas funciones existentes.\n<li class=\"l\"> Se han a\u00f1adido funciones para trabajar con JSON (jsondecode, jsonencode) y Jupyter Notebook (jupyter_notebook).\n<li class=\"l\"> Se han a\u00f1adido nuevas funciones: cospi, getpixelposition, endsWith, fill3, listfonts, matlab.net.base64decode, matlab.net.base64encode, memory, ordqz, rng, sinpi, startsWith, streamribbon, turbo, uniquetol, xtickangle, ytickangle, ztickangle.\n<li class=\"l\"> Se ha proporcionado la posibilidad de llamar a muchas funciones de Octave tanto en forma de comandos (sin par\u00e9ntesis y sin valores devueltos) como en forma de funciones (con par\u00e9ntesis y el s\u00edmbolo \u2018=\u2019 para asignar el valor devuelto).
