Los desarrolladores de la empresa SUSE compartieron sus primeros planes para el desarrollo de una futura y significativa rama del sistema operativo SUSE Linux Enterprise, que se presenta con el nombre en c\u00f3digo ALP (Adaptable Linux Platform). En esta nueva rama se planean ofrecer algunos cambios radicales, tanto en el propio sistema como en los m\u00e9todos de desarrollo. <\/p>\n

En particular, la empresa SUSE tiene la intenci\u00f3n de abandonar el modelo de preparaci\u00f3n de SUSE Linux a puertas cerradas en favor de un proceso de desarrollo abierto. Si anteriormente, todo el desarrollo se llevaba a cabo dentro de la empresa y se entregaban resultados solamente al final, ahora los procesos de creaci\u00f3n y ensamblaje del sistema operativo ser\u00e1n p\u00fablicos, lo que permitir\u00e1 a las partes interesadas seguir el trabajo realizado e involucrarse en el desarrollo. <\/p>\n

Un segundo cambio importante ser\u00e1 la divisi\u00f3n de la base del distribuidor en dos partes: una versi\u00f3n reducida del \u00abhost OS\u00bb para funcionar sobre el hardware y una capa para el soporte de aplicaciones, enfocada en la ejecuci\u00f3n en contenedores y m\u00e1quinas virtuales<\/a>. La idea es que en el \u00abhost OS\u00bb se desarrolle un entorno m\u00ednimo necesario para el soporte y gesti\u00f3n del hardware, mientras que todas las aplicaciones y componentes del espacio del usuario se ejecuten no en un entorno mixto, sino en contenedores separados o en m\u00e1quinas virtuales que se ejecuten sobre el \u00abhost OS\u00bb y que est\u00e9n aisladas entre s\u00ed.
