Se ha publicado una versi\u00f3n corregida de la herramienta Tor 0.4.7.8, utilizada para organizar el funcionamiento de la red an\u00f3nima Tor. En la nueva versi\u00f3n se ha solucionado una vulnerabilidad (CVE-2021-38385) que podr\u00eda ser utilizada para iniciar de forma remota una denegaci\u00f3n de servicio. Tambi\u00e9n se considera el posible impacto del problema en la garant\u00eda de anonimato. El problema provoca que el proceso finalice debido a una comprobaci\u00f3n de assert que se activa en caso de discrepancia entre la verificaci\u00f3n de firmas digitales de forma individual y en modo por lotes. Los detalles no se divulgan hasta la actualizaci\u00f3n de los paquetes en las distribuciones principales.
