El proyecto Debian, la organizaci\u00f3n no lucrativa SPI (Software in the Public Interest) y la organizaci\u00f3n Debian.ch, que representa a Debian en Suiza, ganaron un litigio ante la Organizaci\u00f3n Mundial de la Propiedad Intelectual (OMPI) relacionado con el dominio debian.community, donde se manten\u00eda un blog criticando el proyecto y a sus participantes, y se expon\u00edan discusiones confidenciales del correo debian-private. <\/p>\n

A diferencia de un procedimiento similar que termin\u00f3 en fracaso y fue iniciado por la compa\u00f1\u00eda Red Hat respecto al dominio WeMakeFedora.org, las reclamaciones relacionadas con debian.community fueron consideradas v\u00e1lidas y se tom\u00f3 la decisi\u00f3n de transferir los derechos del dominio debian.community al proyecto Debian. Como motivo formal para la transferencia del dominio, se cita la infracci\u00f3n de la marca registrada Debian.
