Se ha publicado la versi\u00f3n 15.0 de la distribuci\u00f3n de Linux Salix, desarrollada por el creador de Zenwalk Linux, quien dej\u00f3 el proyecto debido a un conflicto con otros desarrolladores que defend\u00edan una pol\u00edtica de m\u00e1xima similitud con Slackware. La distribuci\u00f3n Salix 15 es totalmente compatible con Slackware Linux 15 y adopta el enfoque de 'una aplicaci\u00f3n para una tarea'. Se ofrecen versiones de 64 y 32 bits (1.5 GB) para su descarga. <\/p>\n

Para la gesti\u00f3n de paquetes se utiliza el gestor de paquetes gslapt, que es equivalente a slapt-get. Como interfaz gr\u00e1fica para instalar programas de SlackBuilds, adem\u00e1s de gslapt, se incluye el programa Sourcery, que ha sido dise\u00f1ado espec\u00edficamente en el marco del proyecto Salix como un frontend para slapt-src. Las herramientas est\u00e1ndar para la gesti\u00f3n de paquetes de Slackware han sido modificadas para dar soporte a Spkg, lo que permite usar aplicaciones externas, como sbopkg, sin comprometer la compatibilidad con Slackware. El instalador ofrece tres modos de instalaci\u00f3n: completa, b\u00e1sica y m\u00ednima (para servidores<\/a>).

En la nueva versi\u00f3n, se utiliza el entorno de escritorio Xfce 4.16 y la biblioteca GTK3 para formar el escritorio. Se ha introducido un nuevo tema disponible en variantes claras y oscuras. El plugin Whiskermenu se ha incluido como men\u00fa principal por defecto. Se han actualizado y traducido utilidades del sistema a GTK3. Las versiones de los paquetes se han actualizado, incluyendo el n\u00facleo Linux 5.15.63, GCC 11, Glibc 2.33, Firefox 102 ESR, LibreOffice 7.4, GIMP 2.10. Se ha implementado elogind para gestionar sesiones de usuario en lugar de ConsoleKit.
