La empresa Oracle ha publicado la versi\u00f3n del distribuidor Oracle Linux 9.1, creada a partir de la base de paquetes de Red Hat Enterprise Linux 9.1 y completamente compatible a nivel binario con ella. Se ofrecen im\u00e1genes ISO de instalaci\u00f3n para su descarga sin restricciones, con tama\u00f1os de 9.2 GB y 839 MB, preparadas para las arquitecturas x86_64 y ARM64 (aarch64). Para Oracle Linux 9, se ha abierto un acceso ilimitado y gratuito al repositorio yum con actualizaciones binarias de paquetes para correcci\u00f3n de errores (erratas) y problemas de seguridad. Tambi\u00e9n se han preparado repositorios soportados por separado con conjuntos de paquetes de Application Stream y CodeReady Builder. <\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s del paquete con el n\u00facleo del RHEL (basado en el n\u00facleo 5.14), Oracle Linux ofrece su propio n\u00facleo Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel 7, basado en el n\u00facleo de Linux 5.15 y optimizado para trabajar con el software y el hardware industrial de Oracle. Los c\u00f3digos fuente del n\u00facleo, incluyendo la divisi\u00f3n en parches individuales, est\u00e1n disponibles en el repositorio p\u00fablico de Git de Oracle. El n\u00facleo Unbreakable Enterprise Kernel se instala por defecto, se posiciona como una alternativa al paquete del n\u00facleo del RHEL y ofrece una serie de capacidades ampliadas, como la integraci\u00f3n de DTrace y un mejor soporte para Btrfs.
