El l\u00edder del proyecto UBports, que asumi\u00f3 el desarrollo de la plataforma m\u00f3vil Ubuntu Touch y del escritorio Unity 8, despu\u00e9s de que la empresa Canonical se retirara, anunci\u00f3 la integraci\u00f3n en las ramas \u00abunstable\u00bb y \u00abtesting\u00bb del sistema operativo Debian GNU\/Linux de paquetes con el entorno Lomiri (anteriormente Unity 8) y el servidor de visualizaci\u00f3n Mir 2. Se destaca que el l\u00edder de UBports utiliza constantemente Lomiri en Debian y que para estabilizar definitivamente el funcionamiento de Lomiri se requieren algunos cambios menores. En el proceso de portar Lomiri a Debian, se eliminaron o renombraron dependencias obsoletas, se realiz\u00f3 la adaptaci\u00f3n al nuevo entorno del sistema (por ejemplo, se garantiz\u00f3 la compatibilidad con systemd) y se llev\u00f3 a cabo la transici\u00f3n a la nueva rama del servidor de visualizaci\u00f3n Mir 2.12. <\/p>\n

Lomiri utiliza en su funcionamiento la biblioteca Qt5 y el servidor de pantalla Mir 2, que act\u00faa como compuesto servidores<\/a> basado en Wayland. Combinado con el entorno m\u00f3vil Ubuntu Touch, el escritorio Lomiri es muy valorado para implementar el modo Convergence, que permite crear un entorno adaptativo para dispositivos m\u00f3viles, el cual al conectarse a un monitor ofrece un escritorio completo y convierte el smartphone o la tableta en una estaci\u00f3n de trabajo port\u00e1til.
