Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, la esperada versi\u00f3n LTS del sistema operativo de Canonical, promete traer una serie de optimizaciones de rendimiento para el entorno de escritorio GNOME. Las nuevas mejoras est\u00e1n dirigidas a aumentar la eficiencia y la facilidad de uso, especialmente para los usuarios con m\u00faltiples monitores y aquellos que utilizan sesiones de Wayland.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s de los parches de triple buffering de GNOME, que a\u00fan no est\u00e1n incluidos en la rama principal de Mutter, Ubuntu 24.04 LTS y Debian est\u00e1n planeando incluir optimizaciones de rendimiento adicionales. Daniel van Vugt de Canonical contin\u00faa trabajando en el triple buffering y recientemente present\u00f3 un peque\u00f1o redise\u00f1o del c\u00f3digo.<\/p>\n

Uno de los parches propuestos para el paquete Mutter de Debian est\u00e1 destinado a utilizar tarjetas gr\u00e1ficas para monitores adicionales conectados a tarjetas gr\u00e1ficas adicionales en sesiones de Wayland. Anteriormente, era necesario utilizar las tarjetas gr\u00e1ficas principales, lo que pod\u00eda resultar en una disminuci\u00f3n del rendimiento.
