Todo el stack de software de la plataforma Oxide es abierto. La distribuci\u00f3n de Helios est\u00e1 construida sobre la base de los desarrollos del proyecto Illumos, que contin\u00faa el desarrollo del n\u00facleo, la pila de red, los sistemas de archivos, los drivers, las bibliotecas y un conjunto b\u00e1sico de herramientas de sistema de OpenSolaris.    <\/p>\n<p>Entre los componentes incluidos:  <\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"l\"> boot-image-tools \u2014 herramientas para crear im\u00e1genes de arranque.\n<li class=\"l\"> helios-omnios-build, garbage-compactor \u2014 scripts de construcci\u00f3n para los paquetes de la parte b\u00e1sica del sistema operativo.\n<li class=\"l\"> helios-omnios-extra \u2014 scripts de ensamblaje para un conjunto ampliado de paquetes.\n<li class=\"l\"> helios-omicron-brand \u2014 formaci\u00f3n de un entorno aislado para ejecutar la interfaz web de administraci\u00f3n de Omicron.\n<li class=\"l\"> illumos-gate \u2014 componentes del sistema de Illumos (n\u00facleo, bibliotecas, utilidades).\n<li class=\"l\"> phbl (Pico Host Boot Loader) \u2014 gestor de arranque.\n<li class=\"l\"> pinprick \u2014 utilidad para comprimir im\u00e1genes ROM.\n<li class=\"l\"> image-builder \u2014 herramientas para crear im\u00e1genes de disco de arranque con Illumos.\n<li class=\"l\"> helios-engvm \u2014 conjunto de herramientas para crear un entorno de desarrollo y generar im\u00e1genes de Helios en sistemas f\u00edsicos o virtuales x86 que operan con Ubuntu 20.04.01 bajo KVM\/QEMU.   <\/ul>\n<p>Es importante mencionar que Oracle ha modificado el calendario de soporte del sistema operativo Solaris, seg\u00fan el cual el tiempo de soporte de la versi\u00f3n Solaris 11.4 se ha extendido hasta 2037 (anteriormente, el ciclo de vida del producto terminaba en 2034). Dado que la versi\u00f3n Solaris 11.4 se public\u00f3 en 2018, el tiempo total de soporte ser\u00e1 de 19 a\u00f1os.
