Se presenta la distribuci\u00f3n Fedora Asahi Remix 40, dise\u00f1ada para su instalaci\u00f3n en computadoras Mac equipadas con chips ARM desarrollados por Apple. Fedora Asahi Remix 40 se basa en el repositorio de paquetes de Fedora Linux 40 y cuenta con el instalador Calamares. Esta es la segunda versi\u00f3n publicada tras la transici\u00f3n del proyecto Asahi de Arch a Fedora, que ha permitido al equipo de Asahi Linux centrarse en la ingenier\u00eda inversa del hardware sin desperdiciar recursos en el soporte de la distribuci\u00f3n, ahora gestionada por el grupo de trabajo Fedora Asahi SIG. <\/p>\n

Fedora Asahi Remix garantiza compatibilidad en sistemas Apple MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac Mini, Mac Studio e iMac, equipados con los chips ARM Apple M1 y M2. Incluye como entorno de usuario principal KDE Plasma 6, aunque se ofrece opcionalmente una variante basada en GNOME 46. Ambas ediciones utilizan Wayland, y para ejecutar aplicaciones X11 se utiliza el servidor DDX XWayland. Los controladores gr\u00e1ficos ofrecen soporte para OpenGL 4.6 y OpenGL ES 3.2, que est\u00e1n oficialmente certificados por el consorcio Khronos (en los controladores gr\u00e1ficos nativos para los chips M1 de Apple, solo se implementa la especificaci\u00f3n OpenGL 4.1). <\/p>\n

Se soporta completamente el subsistema de audio de las computadoras Apple, as\u00ed como la c\u00e1mara, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth y dispositivos de entrada. Sin embargo, todav\u00eda no se soportan: la conexi\u00f3n de pantallas a trav\u00e9s de USB-C, Thunderbolt \/ USB4, micr\u00f3fono y Touch ID.
