Se ha realizado un cambio en la configuraci\u00f3n de GNOME que cambia la interfaz para usar por defecto la fuente Inter, optimizada para lograr alta claridad en s\u00edmbolos de tama\u00f1o peque\u00f1o y mediano (menos de 12px) al mostrarse en pantallas de computadora. Es posible que antes del lanzamiento de oto\u00f1o de GNOME 47 este cambio se revierta si las pruebas son consideradas fallidas por los usuarios.<\/p>\n

En el modo predeterminado, la fuente Inter presenta algunos problemas, a saber: la misma representaci\u00f3n de la letra may\u00fascula \u00abI\u00bb y la min\u00fascula \u00abl\u00bb, as\u00ed como de la letra \u00abO\u00bb y el n\u00famero \u00ab0\u00bb. Este problema se soluciona configurando el modo opcional \u00abss02\u00bb en la propiedad font-feature-settings.<\/p>\n

Para probar la nueva fuente, es necesario descargar y descomprimir el archivo zip que contiene la fuente Inter, instalar la fuente mediante un doble clic en los archivos InterVariable.ttf e InterVariable-Italic.ttf en la aplicaci\u00f3n GNOME Fonts, y luego activarla como la fuente de la interfaz en la aplicaci\u00f3n GNOME Tweaks o a trav\u00e9s de la utilidad gsettings (\u00abgsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface font-name 'Inter Variable 11'\u00bb).<\/p>\n
