En su intervenci\u00f3n en la conferencia Open Source Summit China, Linus Torvalds coment\u00f3 que esperaba un proceso m\u00e1s r\u00e1pido para la incorporaci\u00f3n en el n\u00facleo de componentes escritos en Rust. En parte, el problema radica en que los desarrolladores veteranos est\u00e1n acostumbrados al lenguaje C y no ven la necesidad de aprender un nuevo lenguaje que, en algunos aspectos, difiere bastante del C. Esta actitud entre los desarrolladores genera cierta resistencia a la implementaci\u00f3n de Rust. Otra raz\u00f3n mencionada para el lento avance de Rust en el n\u00facleo es que la propia infraestructura de Rust no ha sido especialmente estable.
