Se presentan las nuevas ediciones de las gu\u00edas Linux From Scratch 12.2 (LFS) y Beyond Linux From Scratch 12.2 (BLFS), disponibles en dos variantes, con el sistema de inicializaci\u00f3n SysVinit y systemd. En Linux From Scratch se ofrecen instrucciones para crear desde cero un sistema Linux b\u00e1sico, utilizando solo el c\u00f3digo fuente del software necesario. Beyond Linux From Scratch complementa las instrucciones de LFS con informaci\u00f3n sobre la compilaci\u00f3n y configuraci\u00f3n de m\u00e1s de 1000 paquetes de software, abarcando diversas \u00e1reas de aplicaci\u00f3n, desde bases de datos, sistemas de virtualizaci\u00f3n, un conjunto ampliado de aplicaciones para desarrolladores, hasta entornos gr\u00e1ficos. <\/p>\n

En Linux From Scratch 12.2 se han actualizado 45 paquetes y se ha a\u00f1adido un nuevo paquete lz4, entre las actualizaciones se incluyen Glibc 2.40, el n\u00facleo Linux 6.10.5, binutils-2.43.1, gcc-14.2.0, systemd-256.4, SysVinit-3.10 y otros. <\/p>\n

Simult\u00e1neamente se ha publicado la traducci\u00f3n de las gu\u00edas Linux From Scratch 12.2-SysV y Linux From Scratch 12.2-systemd al espa\u00f1ol. Debido a problemas intermitentes al descargar algunos paquetes, los archivos fuente de los paquetes necesarios se han colocado en el repositorio (se adjuntan wget-list, md5sums). <\/p>\n

En Beyond LFS se han realizado m\u00e1s de 1750 actualizaciones, incluyendo numerosos cambios en el texto para mejorar la legibilidad. Entre los cambios m\u00e1s importantes se encuentra la actualizaci\u00f3n de KDE5 (Frameworks, Gear, Plasma) a KDE6. GNOME se ha actualizado a la versi\u00f3n 46, KDE Plasma a 6.1.4, y LXQt a la versi\u00f3n 2.0.0. Se han a\u00f1adido varios nuevos paquetes: FreeRDP, vinagre ha sido reemplazado por gnome-connections, adem\u00e1s de que se han a\u00f1adido dolphin y konversation de KDE. En total, se han agregado 32 paquetes para dar soporte a los que ya estaban en el libro. Adem\u00e1s, se han eliminado 21 paquetes no soportados, entre los que se encuentran Python2 y GTK2.
