Est\u00e1 disponible la versi\u00f3n 0.4.0 del programa syncspirit, que permite organizar la sincronizaci\u00f3n continua autom\u00e1tica de los archivos del usuario en varios dispositivos. El proyecto aborda tareas similares al sistema propietario BitTorrent Sync. Syncspirit est\u00e1 escrito en C++ y se distribuye bajo la licencia GPLv3. Syncspirit es una implementaci\u00f3n independiente del protocolo de sincronizaci\u00f3n BEP propuesto por el proyecto Syncthing. Los datos sincronizados no se cargan en almacenes en la nube de terceros, sino que se replican directamente entre los sistemas del usuario cuando estos aparecen simult\u00e1neamente en l\u00ednea.
