Se ha presentado la versi\u00f3n del paquete gratuito para la maquetaci\u00f3n de documentos Scribus 1.6.4. Este paquete proporciona herramientas para una maquetaci\u00f3n profesional de materiales impresos, incluye herramientas para la generaci\u00f3n de PDF y soporta el trabajo con perfiles de color separados, CMYK, colores planos e ICC. El programa est\u00e1 escrito utilizando el toolkit Qt y se distribuye bajo la licencia GPLv2+. Las compilaciones binarias listas est\u00e1n preparadas para Linux (AppImage), macOS y Windows. <\/p>\n

En la nueva versi\u00f3n se ha desactivado la codificaci\u00f3n de fuentes personalizadas al insertarlas en PDF. Para los scripts se han implementado nuevas funciones en Python para determinar el tama\u00f1o de las p\u00e1ginas, los m\u00e1rgenes de los elementos de la p\u00e1gina, y la distancia m\u00ednima y m\u00e1xima entre palabras, as\u00ed como capas bloqueadas. Se han solucionado problemas con la importaci\u00f3n y exportaci\u00f3n de PDF. Se han corregido problemas de compilaci\u00f3n al utilizar nuevas versiones de la biblioteca poppler. <\/p>\n

Paralelamente, se est\u00e1 desarrollando una rama experimental de Scribus 1.7, en la que se ha realizado la portaci\u00f3n a Qt 6, se ha a\u00f1adido soporte para un tema oscuro, los \u00edconos se han cambiado al formato SVG, se ha implementado una nueva versi\u00f3n de las barras de herramientas ancladas y se ha redise\u00f1ado el panel de selecci\u00f3n de color.
