Los desarrolladores de ALT Linux han presentado un nuevo configurador para GNOME llamado Tuner, dise\u00f1ado para simplificar la extensi\u00f3n de la funcionalidad y ofrecer configuraciones adicionales. Se espera que Tuner pueda ser utilizado por las distribuciones que ofrecen GNOME para crear configuradores que gestionen cambios en configuraciones espec\u00edficas de cada distribuci\u00f3n. Por ejemplo, en ALT Linux se ha implementado el complemento TunerPanel, que permite alternar entre el modo de panel (estilo GNOME 2) y el modo est\u00e1ndar de la interfaz de GNOME. <\/p>\n

El programa cuenta con una arquitectura basada en complementos que permite agregar nuevas secciones de configuraci\u00f3n, modificar la interfaz y ampliar la funcionalidad mediante la entrega de complementos individuales sin necesidad de modificar el c\u00f3digo principal de la aplicaci\u00f3n. Para la creaci\u00f3n de complementos se utiliza el motor libpeas, que ya se aplica en las aplicaciones de GNOME Gedit y Totem. <\/p>\n

Entre las caracter\u00edsticas de Tuner tambi\u00e9n se menciona la simplificaci\u00f3n de la integraci\u00f3n con GSettings. Al igual que en la aplicaci\u00f3n GNOME Refine, Tuner ofrece un mecanismo para crear widgets usando el lenguaje de construcci\u00f3n de interfaces Blueprint. Estos widgets permiten vincular configuraciones individuales en GSettings a elementos de la interfaz dise\u00f1ados para su modificaci\u00f3n. <\/p>\n

El c\u00f3digo del proyecto est\u00e1 escrito en el lenguaje Vala y se distribuye bajo la licencia GPLv3. La interfaz de usuario se construy\u00f3 utilizando la biblioteca libadwaita, cumple con las recomendaciones de GNOME HIG (Directrices de Interfaz Humana) y se adapta din\u00e1micamente al tama\u00f1o de la pantalla.
